In the framework of the LIdar climatology of Vertical Aerosol Structure for space-based lidar simulation studies (LIVAS), which is a project of the European Space Agency (ESA) and SDS-WAS, the National Observatory of Athens (NOA) provides a multi-year 4-D pure-dust climatology based on CALIPSO observations and EARLINET climatological measurements. The methodology for the dust-product retrieval and the product evaluation can be found in Amiridis et al. (2013).
