Goldschmidt is the foremost annual, international conference on geochemistry and related subjects, organised by the European Association of Geochemistry and the Geochemical Society.

This year there is a session on VARIABILITY OF DUST COMPOSITION: ORIGINS AND EFFECTS ON THE EARTH SYSTEM. This session aims at presenting the latest research in laboratory analysis, in-situ measurements, remote sensing and modeling of dust composition, especially its mineralogy, and its effects upon the Earth system. We invite contributions related to dust and its composition on topics such as detection and contribution of anthropogenic dust; mineralogical and chemical characterization of dust particles; dust radiative properties and impacts on weather and climate; dust-cloud interactions; heterogeneous reactions on the surface of dust particles and their impact on ozone photochemistry and secondary aerosol formation; nutrient transport and its impact on ocean and land bio-geochemistry.

Convenors: Yves BalkanskiPaul Ginoux
Keynote: Carlos Perez García-Pando (Barcelona Supercomputing Center)
