InDust COST Action announces conference grants

The “International Network to Encourage the Use of Monitoring and Forecasting Dust“ (InDust, COST Action CA16202) invites researchers from participating ITC (Inclusiveness Target Countries) to submit applications for the 1st call for ITC Conference Grants for conferences taking place before 15 April 2018.

Conference Grants are aimed to support PhD students and Early Career Investigators (ECI) researchers from participating Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITC) to attend international science and technology related conferences not specifically organised by the COST Action. Financial support is up to a maximum of EUR 1600 in total where max EUR 160 are per day allowances (accommodation, meal) and max EUR 500 for the conference and abstract fees.

ITC Conference Grant applicant

Any participant who is a PhD student or an Early Career Investigator (ECI, i.e. a researcher whose career spun less than 8 years between the date of the PhD/doctorate and the date of involvement in the COST Action) and is affiliated with an institution located in an ITC country participating in the Action can submit an application request for an ITC Conference Grant. The applicant must be engaged in an official research programme as a PhD Student or postdoctoral fellow.

  • Inclusiveness Target Countries participating in InDust: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, fYR Macedonia, Hungary, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Turkey.Conference Grants are aimed to support PhD students and Early Career Investigators (ECI) researchers from participating Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITC) to attend international science and technology related conferences not specifically organised by the COST Action.

Important dates

  • Deadline for applications to be submitted: January 30, 2018
  • Notification of application outcome: February 15, 2018
  • Period of conference taking place before April 15, 2018
